    Freedom is everythin'.

    This goes out to my fellow Singaporeans, simply cos' all of u mean somethin' to me. Now i'm not inspirin' u to be anti-PAP or to screw Chee Soon Juan or whatever. I'm just askin' u to have an opinion, a voice, to make up your own mind about the world u're livin' in.

    I'm askin' u to choose your own destiny.

    Don't just sink into eutopia-sensin' delusion that Singaporeans have backstage, all-access passes to true freedom cos' this is a 'democratic' country. My friends, democracy is a cute little concept, and apparently very popular. It always amuses me when someone passionately stands up to holla, "Democracy is the answer!!".

    Anyway, one can have democracy, anarchy, monarchy, theorocracy...any political or social system at all, and still have no freedom if one is not personally responsible.

    No, my friends, democracy is not the answer.

    Freedom, is the answer. Confused? Let me explain.

    You see, the folks who favour democracy believe that "if we have democracy we will have freedom".

    But it can be clearly argued and backed up with empirical evidence that democracy does not necessarily produce freedom. In fact, democracy more often than not produces less freedom.

    What these romantic rebels overlook is that democracy is a result or a consequence of freedom. In other words, they have it around the wrong way.

    The goal then is freedom, not democracy.

    So join me ladies and gentlemen.

    Free your mind..

    (PS: You won't regret readin' my next entry. Remember the movie V For Vendetta? Remember the letter Evey received from Valerie while she was 'locked up' in the cell? Trust me, what u got to hear in the movie was just the tip of the motivational iceberg. I'll present the complete letter from the original graphic novel by Alan Moore. I hope it truly inspires u as it did me. Get ready to be free..)
