    sunday saw the blacks headin' to republic polytechnic for our biggest match this year, a top-of-the-table clash with title favourites singapore schools. with azlan, robin, ishak, mingcong and wayne unavailable, we were considerably depleted. yet, knowin' a win would be a massive shock as well as give us some valuable 3 points in the race for promotion to division 1, we decided to go all out for victory right from the start. and so, the writings made their way to the wall in the end.

    we gave it our absolute all (even leadin' at the end of the 1st period), and, despite our best efforts, were beaten by a really good side. it's the lowest score any team has lost to singapore schools by. 'nuff said.

    while i can't fault our effort, our first loss of the season has just thrown the race for promotion wide open. the equation hereafter is simple: we've gotta win our remainin' 3 games to stand a clear chance of bein' promoted, includin' a climatic season finale date with promotion challengers tampines east knights.

    and u know what? i've got that winnin' feelin'. i somehow do.

    let's get out there and haul our asses to division 1 spartans!
